William Bungeroth has been telling stories since childhood; however, they were written inside his head and never published. It was when he moved with his wife to San Francisco and encouraged by friends did he start sharing his creative storytelling. His first published short story was The Ride, followed by a series of published stories consisting of Last Call, The Poseur, Long Live The King, In Memoriam, The Teach, The Gun Club, and The Adventures of Unfiltered Man.
A Different Place & Time, his first novella, was a coming of age story about four teenagers forced to make choices during the racially charged sixties. It was a look back in time for the author. A fan of Hemingway, Ludlum, Clancy, and Baldacci and their ability to get the reader to turn-the-page, The Wayfarer, a soon-to-be-released first novel, follows their tradition. Its setting takes place in three dimensions: the past, the present, and the future, where an unforgiving natural force creates the backdrop for a riveting mystery thriller.
William received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Lafayette College and followed it with a successful military, broadcasting, healthcare, and comedy career. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for a nutraceutical company. When he can find the time, he spends it cycling, reading, walking with his wife and dog Teddy, watching the Cubs & Bears, and grilling for his family and friends. Both he and his wife live in downtown Chicago.
